The Amsterdam Acrylics Standard series were formerly known as Van Gogh Acrylics. These acrylic paints are value priced and easy to use, making them an excellent choice for the beginning or intermediate artist. They can be mixed with water or mediums, and clean up requires only soap and water. Their thick consistency is perfect for Oil type effects. They are quick drying and non-toxic, so they are perfect for use in the classroom.

This was my first time using Amsterdam acrylic paints. I bought 5 separate 120ml tubes, in the basic colours - white, black, blue, yellow & red. The paint is a very high quality & gives good coverage to my gel plate. The 120ml tube of red (magenta) I ordered wasn't in stock & I was sent a larger tube which was very much appreciated.

I use mostly amsterdam for my artwork. Excellent pigments etc. The service from Artecon was excellent. Beyond the call of duty actually. They didn't have a particular size so, upgraded my order next size up at no extra charge.

Amsterdam acrylic paints are the only acrylic paint that I use in my fluid art - dirty, ring, dutch pours etc. The selection of colours are amazing.

After using Amsterdam paints it’s very hard to try anything else. They are heavily pigmented and are up there with Winsor and Newton and Atelier acrylic paints.
ARTECON has very reasonably priced Amsterdam paints and are particularly good value in the 250ml tubes if you just want to try the colours.
I use my acrylic paints for Dutch Pours and the quality of the paints is evident when you use them. I have other brands of paints but these are the ones I don’t share with others when I give Acrylic Pouring lessons. I recommend them to my students as I consider the standard tubes are good value for a quality paint.

I have found ARTECON absolutely wonderful. Nothing is an issue. They will go out of their way to be helpful. I use a large number of Amsterdam paints and only purchase from ARTECON. I use them in acrylic pouring as I find the colours are vibrant and stay true when dry, they produce a large number of cells. ARTECON's range of colours is large which suits my needs.

This paint, along with all Amsterdam acrylic paints, is first class. As an artist working with acrylic pouring techniques, I find it has an extraordinary cell making reaction without the use of silicone oil or alcohol.
The paint has a silky texture and is extremely easy to blend with other colours, mediums, or just water. It has a high pigment content and dries perfectly without cracking or crazing. Amsterdam acrylics, particularly the Titanium White standard series, are my first choice in my art. A particularly pleasing product at a great price, and I will always use ARTECON as I find the service responsive and caring, which means a lot to me.
